When I get overwhelmed I sometimes imagine all the chaos around me like choppy ocean waves, and I imagine sinking below the surface into the deep, expansive, supportive calm. The day we made this drawing/song I was feeling that heavy weight of the world, felt it dragging on me. I needed to transmute that negative energy. After descending into our private basement rehearsal space, drawing and vocalizing those tangled feelings, and shifting my attention, I felt much, much better...
